CAPTCHA Typing Jobs Scam 2021: Why Even The Best Are Worst!
CAPTCHA Typing Jobs are very popular in developing countries like India, Pakistan, Philippines, Kenya, Tanzania, etc. This is mainly because they are easily available and do not require any skills. However, the biggest question is, Are CAPTCHA Typing Jobs legit?
According to me, CAPTCHA Typing Jobs are just a scam. But some very popular websites continue to promote it either for their own vested interests or out of ignorance.
However, at FreelanceBiz, I not only believe in guiding my readers on How To Make Money Online but to make them vary about the Online Job Scams on the world wide web. That is the reason I wrote this article to let my readers know about CAPTCHA Scam.
Now before you hit the back button on your browser and start searching for Legit CAPTCHA Typing Jobs, I request you to please read this article through the end, and you will know why I consider CAPTCHA Typing Jobs to be a scam.
Firstly let us understand what CAPTCHA is and how do CAPTCHA typing websites make money.
What Is CAPTCHA?
CAPTCHA is an acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart." As the name suggests, it is the text or image verification you are asked to enter by certain websites to filter out bots from the human.
The reason websites use CAPTCHA it to prevent spammers and hackers from automatically performing a certain action on the website using automated scripts or "Bots".
Hackers create custom scripts or bots to crack passwords of websites through a technique called Brute Force. Bots are also used to create multiple email ID's, posting spam comments on the blogs among various other Black Hat techniques.
How Does CAPTCHA Typing Websites Work?
People who are into Black Hat Techniques often make a lot of money by effectively using the bots.
For example, they can create hundreds of email accounts in no time by using these bots to automatically fill-up the forms on the website. These email ID's are then sold to marketing companies who use it to send unsolicited spam emails.
Likewise, there are various other ways people use these bots to make money. Therefore, to filter out these bots from humans, websites use CAPTCHA that will help them keep your data safe and at the same time prevent their websites from spam.
This is because even the most advanced bots cannot solve the CAPTCHA, especially if it is difficult to read or if it uses images. Thus CAPTCHA prevents unauthorized filling up of forms and other operations carried out by bots.
But people did come up with a workaround. To bypass CAPTCHA, the spammers use the services of CAPTCHA typing websites.
The CAPTCHA typing websites uses an API which is a kind of script. This script captures the CAPTCHA image from the website in question and uploads the same to their server. These websites then lure people into typing these CAPTCHA by making fake promises of providing big money.
Since the CAPTCHA typers are humans, they can easily read the CAPTCHA and type it accurately. After the CAPTCHA is entered, the API returns it back to the website which requested it and places it in the right box.
This procedure thus enables spammers to bypass the CAPTCHA and help them spam the world wide web.
Are CAPTCHA Typing Jobs Legal?
There is no explicit law which considers CAPTCHA typing to be illegal. However, by working with CAPTCHA typing websites, you are helping the hackers and spammers to continue their unethical, and in some cases illegal activities.
So, although not illegal, CAPTCHA typing is an unethical way to make money online.

Can You Really Make Money With CAPTCHA Typing?
I am sure there are people who do not mind making money the unethical way. So, ethics apart, can you really make money with CAPTCHA typing?
The answer is a big NO. The fact is it's difficult to make even a decent income from CAPTCHA Typing Jobs. This I say because of the following reasons
1. Most CAPTCHA Work Websites Are A Scam
I've been researching about Online Money Making ideas for a while. From my experience, I can say that a majority of the websites which offer CAPTCHA typing jobs are a scam.
They will lure you into working them by promising high pay rates. But when you try to withdraw your earnings, you will be asked to pay money usually as "Payment Processing Charges" which they say you need to pay in order to withdraw your earnings to your bank account. Needless to say, you will never get your money.
While payment processing charges are for real, genuine money making programs deduct it from your earnings and do not ask you to pay anything to cash out. Also, they explicitly mention the charges on their website.
Some websites will never ask you for any payments, but you won't even get your payment. They will simply disappear.
2. Pathetically Low Pay Rates
Though most of the CAPTCHA typing websites are a scam, there are some genuine websites who do make payments. But again, these websites make false claim of providing high paying CAPTCHA work. However, once you register with them, you will realize the pay rates are mostly between $0.2 - $1 per 1000 CAPTCHA entered.
Now let us consider, you spend 8 hours a day typing CAPTCHA on a website with average pay rates of $0.8/1000 CAPTCHA. If you have excellent typing speed, you can type up to 250 CAPTCHA per hour.
So in 8 hours, you can type a maximum of 250 x 8 = 2000 CAPTCHA. Since for 1000 CAPTCHA you can make only $0.8 , for 2000 CAPTCHA you earnings will be a mere $1.6. If you work for 25 days a month, your monthly earnings would be $40.
After deducting your internet bills and electricity charges, you are left with almost nothing. This, when we consider the pay rates to be much higher than what they are in most cases.
Even in Tier 2 and Tier 3 countries, a person without any skills can easily earn up to $100 per month. So do you really think it is wise to work for such a low paying Job?
If you can type in English and know how to use the internet, you are probably qualified enough to earn much more than $100.
3. Low Chances Of Cashing Out Earnings
If the low pay rates are not enough, there is no guarantee that you can actually cash out your earnings. Most CAPTCHA typing websites have a ridiculous rule of banning users who enter "few" incorrect CAPTCHAs. If you are banned, you lose all your earnings.
With my experience, I can say that 80-90 % people get banned before reaching the minimum withdrawal threshold. Banning people is just an easy excuse for denying payment. And you can simply not trust people to be ethical enough to pay you when they are promoting the unethical things.
CAPTCHA Typing Website Analysis
Let me admit, when I first started working online, I too worked with CAPTCHA Typing websites to increase my online income. However, I was never able to withdraw my earnings and I soon realized my mistake.
So, I thought of sharing my experience about working with different CAPTCHA Typing websites.
1. 2CAPTCHA
2CAPTCHA is one of the most famous websites that provide CAPTCHA Typing work. Of all the websites I've tried, only 2CAPTCHA was the one who was lenient when it comes to banning people for entering wrong CAPTCHA.
However, that does not make it perfect for you if you are looking for CAPTCHA typing jobs. The trick here is, 2CAPTCHA provides ridiculously low rate for entering CAPTCHA. The rates are usually between $0.15 to $0.4 per 1000 CAPTCHAs
So, even if you type 250 CAPTCHAs per hour, your will be making around 10 cent per hour. This is nothing less than pathetic wage even for a developing nation.
2. Megatypers
Megatypers is a popular alternative to 2CAPTCHA that offers CAPTCHA Typing jobs. As compared to 2CAPTCHA, Megatypers does provide better pay rates with peak hour rates upto $0.8.
Again, at these rates you cannot earn more than $0.2 - $0.3 per hour. But, still it's better than 2CAPTCHA.
However, at Megatypers you are more likely to be banned for entering few wrong CAPTCHAs or even for not being able to type the CAPTCHA in given time.
Though they reset your wrong CAPTCHA or missed CAPTCHA stats after a certain period of time, you still might end up getting banned.
3. ProTypers
Protypers is same as Megatypers. You can use your same login ID to register on either of the websites (Atleast that was the case when I worked with CAPTCHA)
So, basically Megatypers uses another website to make sure they get more typers for their website.
4. Kolotibablo
Kolotibablo is another alternative to 2CAPTCHA and the worst of all the above websites when it comes to banning people. I've been banned even though I was sure I entered the correct CAPCTHA.
As for the pay rates, as expected, they are nothing exceptional and just about the same as Megatypers.
5. CAPTCHA Club
I personally never worked for CAPTCHA Club. However, a lot of people were inquiring about CAPTCHA club and wanted to know if CAPTCHA club is legit or scam. So I thought of researching about CAPTCHA Club.
According to my research, CAPTCHAclub is a scam. I say this as I have come across many people who say it demands a one-time fee of $40 to withdraw your earnings and as per me, any websites that demand money to release payment is a strong contender for being a Scam website.
Also, their Facebook page is flooded with the payment related complaints. Other CAPTCHA club reviews also suggest that CAPTCHA club is a scam.
So my advice is not to waste your time and money with CAPTCHA club.
6. Unity Wealth CAPTCHA
Unity Wealth CAPTCHA is the latest website which is getting a lot of popularity. I have personally never used Unity Wealth CAPTCHA nor there is enough information about it on the internet.
However, I did a lot of research on the same and came to know that Unity Wealth CAPTCHA is not just scam, but it is also illegal in Philippines. I have written a detailed post on Unity Wealth CAPTCHA Scam. Do check it out.
7. Unity Wealth 100
UWealth100 CAPTCHA is the new name for Unity Wealth CAPTCHA. They probably renamed Unity Wealth CAPTCHA to UWealth100 CAPTCHA after a lot of people including myself wrote negative reviews of Unity Wealth CAPTCHA.
Since UWealth100 CAPTCHA and Unity Wealth CAPTCHA are one and same, our review of UWealth100 CAPTCHA is the same as discussed above.
Is There Any Alternative To CAPTCHA Typing Jobs?
If you're looking for a typing job as an alternative to CAPTCHA Typing, I must admit you will be disappointed. Genuine typing jobs are hard to find online and the ones available have intense competition and will require you to have advanced knowledge of MS Office and Google docs.
Websites like Upwork do provide genuine typing jobs. However, they selectively approve profiles of freelancers to filter out lesser skilled people. Also, they may reject your applications if they feel there are too many freelancers on their platform as compared to the number of jobs posted.
However, even if your profile is approved, the competition is intense and you may never be able to bag a single project.
If you do not have advanced MS Office skills, there are still several Legitimate Online Jobs you can try. Micro Jobs which though not very high paying, certainly pay much more than the best CAPTCHA Typing website.
Final Words
CAPTCHA Entry is neither ethically correct nor will it make you rich. The only people who are actually benefitted by these type of work are CAPTCHA Typing websites and spammers. So do not waste your time, energy and money for it.
As discussed earlier there are many genuine ways of to Make Money Online. Some of them may require you to have technical skills whereas others need just basic knowledge about the internet
